Felisa's Reading Bucket List @ 12:22 PM

The Outlanders by James Frazier: Anna Heringer, a vivid reader and friend of mine, is currently reading the Outlanders book series. During the summer, she recommended it to me several times, giving me insight into the storyline. It seems to me like it will be a captivating read and I hope to like it as much as she has so far.

Room by Emma Donoghue: While having a conversation about several controversial topics, including rape, Maison Mitchell informed me of a book called Room. Her mother, a therapist, recommended it for her to read and she loved it. The way it is written is from a young boy's point of view, he was the result of a rape. It seems to me like it will be very interesting read and it will open my eyes as well.

50 Shades of Grey by E.L. James: This book is probably on many people's "reading bucket list". 50 Shades of Grey gained popularity almost instantly. I know the basic storyline and that is was a fan fiction from Twilight. I, personally, was not a big fan of the Twilight saga. I didn't hate it, but it was just difficult to get into to. Honestly, I just want to read this book to understand what all the hype is about.

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins: The Hunger Games is definitely one of my favorite books and the movie captured it almost perfectly, missing only a few unimportant things. For some reason, that I do not know, I never finished the entire series. I did read Catching Fire, but I never finished Mockingjay. I really wish to finish this series to finally know the result of the games and of course, to know who Katniss picks out of Peeta and Gale.

Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephan Chbosky: Before the movie trailer for this book came out, I had heard several good reviews over this book. I never quite knew what it was about though, I just recognized the name whenever it popped up. Then, when the movie trailer showed up, I was excited to see that Emma Watson was playing one of the leading roles. I, a die hard Harry Potter fan, can't to see her play this different role, with an American accent and all! I am currently reading the book and so far, it seems interesting. A friend of mine just finished reading it and she loved it. This may turn out to be a new favorite of mine.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green: I hadn't heard about this book until Mrs. Gilmore, an English teacher at Batesville High School, showed the class a interview with the author about this new book. It so far, according to the interview, has gotten good reviews and the storyline did stick out to me. I have heard good feedback about John Green's other books, so I'm hoping this book is an interesting read.

Maximum Ride by James Patterson: I have read two of the Maximum Ride books and I loved them. I'm not quite sure why I didn't finish them, I guess I'm just bad at finishing books and also TV shows, but I would love to reread and then finish the book series and finally get to see what I've been missing.

The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks: I absolutely love The Notebook, both the book and the movie. It makes me cry every time, along with The Last Song, also a book by Nicholas Sparks. I watched a trailer for The Lucky One and it looked very interesting, romance movies and books can really captivate me. I haven't watched the movie yet, but I don't plan on watching it until I finish the book.

Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard: Pretty Little Liars is a suspenseful TV show on ABC Family that I really enjoy watching. There's about three seasons at the moment, but I've been rewatching the first season with a couple of my friends, and it still makes me jump! It deals with four main girls searching for someone named A, and it's got great cliff hangers at the end of every episode. There's a book series that the show is based off and I would love to read it and experience the mystery on a different level.

The Blind Side by Michael Lewis: The Blind Side, a popular movie, is mentioned countless times on a variety of things. I have personally never watched it before though. I do like Sandra Bullock as an actress and I'd like to see this movie. Of course, since there is a book involved, I would much rather read the book beforehand and then watch the movie. Both the book and movie have gotten good reviews, so I hope to cross off this book from my bucket list soon.
