American Dream Essay @ 10:37 PM
The American dream can vary from person to person. Everyone has their own versions of success and happiness, and those contribute to what their American dream consists of. My American dream consists of achieving my personal goals in my career and with my family.
In my future, I see myself becoming a psychologist. In order to acquire this position, I must graduate college, a very prominent goal I seek to accomplish. To accomplish this certain goal, I have started preparing myself for college from an early start. I've sought to earn good grades on my report cards, have taken the ACT, and have even started taking a couple of college credit classes to get ahead of the game. I wish to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and eventually transfer to a different school in a different state. In the end, I hope to find a new place to call home.
On a more personal level, I would like to have a good family life when I am older. I hope to marry, eventually, and start a family of my own. Like many other women, I will be excited to raise a family, although I do not wish to go through with such a commitment until I am through with my schooling. I also wish to continue my relationship with my parents and brother. I simply hope to have a balanced life with my work and family and to be happy with how my life turns out.
In conclusion, my American dream may not be the same as someone else's. I have my own personal goals I wish to fulfill that will give me a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction with my life. The good thing about America is that it allows the pursuit of happiness, enabling everyone to have their own dream and seek it as best as they can.
